The dynamic, innovative and charismatic Aasmani Chaudhary who pioneered to establish “Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra or Rural Women Development Center-RWDC) most successfully 26 years ago is the chairperson of Sunita Trust Foundation,  who has committed herself to lead this foundation with all her creative innovations and social activities that are aimed at fulfilling the cherished dreams of Sunita Chaudhary towards the deprived children.

Aasmani Chaudhary has already earned name and fame as one of the famous social entrepreneur and engineer in Lumbini province, across the country and around the world.

She has already been awarded international award for health and dignity by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for United States in 2008.

In addition to it, she has been awarded various local as well as national awards such as award for “Distinguished National Personality” given by Indigenous Film Archives in 2010.

She has been immersed in the social development works for more than 26 years during which she has established herself as one of the powerful women social leaders of the western development region, representing the rural women of this region and rendered humanitarian services to hundreds and thousands of rural women, poor children, houseless persons, landless people, and initiated activities relevant to women empowerment, income generation trainings for livelihood, good governance, advocacy, gender equality, human rights and climate change adaptations.

She has attended international seminars in USA, India, Japan, Egypt, Oman, Dubai, Doha, Bangladesh, Philippines, Germany, Netherland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam as a leading representative of Nepal’s rural women, backward communities including Tharu community. She has acquired the expertise of both social development projects and microfinance services during the last 26 years of her continued struggle to ameliorate the living conditions of the destitute and rural marginalized women.
