Free distribution of sanitary pads to 42 women and adolescent girls held
Dang Ghorahi June 15, 2022: Sushma Pokhrel, a health worker, imparted reproductive health education and distributed free sanitary pads to as, many as 42 women and adolescent girls in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis- 16 Freed Kamaiya Camp on June 14, 2022, under the auspices of Sunita Trust Foundation.
The free sanitary pad distribution program is sponsored by a “Sasto Kirana Pasal” located in Ghorahi 15 Damodar Chowk. Rajani Shrestha is the proprietor of this grocery shop as well as a life member of Sunita Trust Foundation.
The program was presided over by Mrs. Rajani Shrestha, while Tara Bahadur Dangi, the newly elected ward chair of ward no 16 was the chief guest on the occasion.
Saugat Chaudhary, the founding legal advisor of Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra (Rural Women Development Center-RWDC) was the special guest of the program, while Puran Adhikari delivered his welcome speech to welcome the participants in the program. Kamala Sharma of Sunita Trust Foundation facilitated the program.
A total of 50 people, including men and women, participated in the program. The program was dispersed after the concluding remarks of chief guest Dangi and RWDC founding legal advisor Saugat Chaudhary.
